Hey all!!!
Its been a while since I logged in (over 500 new posts). I have been busy with Uni and i seem to lose time on this forum. Any way I have finally got off my P's :D Have sold th ER5 and am looking for a new bike. I'm tossing up between a 6 and a 9 (96 - 99ish) any suggestions? I know it's quite a step up to the 9 but they are going for a similar price. Any way glad to be posting again and i am keen to get out there and see you guys!

Oliver

It's all up to you really. If you think if you get a six you'll want to go bigger eventually I'd just get the nine. Test ride them both and see what you think. As far as the extra power goes, you control the bike not the other way around, so if you don't want to go fast don't turn the throttle as far. Unless of course you have no self control and think you'll cane it where ever possible in which case mabye the six is the way to go.

Hey Oli welcome back mate laughing4.gif
I believe, correct if I am wrong,That you would not wont to get anything older than a '99 model 9,the 98 and earlier ones are rather heavy but still a good bike.
and as for 6 the same I believe (eg Cath old scoot a beauty).

But eventually all comes down to budget & whatever ~~~~~
Good luck finding a good scoot. 8)

Ps
You can join the Coasties again ,but u have to have a honda :P :P

Hey Olly,

What's your budget? That would make a big difference, IMO.

From memory, you were quite a sensible rider, so I wouldn't be nervous about stepping up to a 9.

Best idea: Test ride everything you can get your hands on that is somewhere near your budget and preference. I bet one of them will stand out from the rest and speak to you 8)

About 6k unfortunately, i found a couple of 9's and 6's in that range, i was preferably after the same model 6 you had Cath. I will head down to the local bike shop and ride a couple. Neka a 636 would be great but probably out of my range at the moment, unless its in that range

Like others have said both will serve ya fine, i'd lean towards the 9 if you have been around the block a bit, but like all 9 owners I'm biased.
I personally Love the 02 636 in RED damn bestest paint job of the Alien shapes.

Just get one with a good gearbox, false neutrals can indicate soem dramas.
