Good luck with it mate. The hardest part I think will be coming down here and seeing all our great roads and knowing that you cant ride them, then you'll REALLY miss your bike.

I might be riding down in Jan Mario

Dan I'd try with the right Foot then left up to the right, then right again, dont get too rash an try n pace it out too far, just sorta ease into it. Be much less of a shock to her that way.
Cheers Brett

Hey Yankee, if it makes you feel any better, the snow that got dumped on Mt Wellington on sunday night

has melted.
It's been around 18-25 degrees the last few days so you might just avoid getting frost-bite this time around
BTW - You'll go crazy when you get up the west coast and see the roads - and you without a bike ... I've been up that way only once in a car and I was depressed the whole way. The road beckons

YAY, I'm Home!!! man did i miss my bike on all those great roads down there!!! Seriously, Tazzie is the BEST place to go for a vacation!! although we had the best weather whilest we were down there, which is RARE! anyway, correct me if I am wrong Hobartians, but we did the Hobart to uh New Norfolk to Queenstown to Strahan to Zeehan (stayed in Strahan of course)... but damn, those roads kick so much ass! And due to the weather their were a LOT of bikes out there enjoying it! We rented quads and did the sand dunes there, and the train ride back to Queenstown (amazing history and disgusting mining!

rivers are distroyed.... another 500 years of NEVER touching them and they MAY support life again!)
Anyway, and we had a blast in Hobart (Knoppy's on a Friday night), salamanca (tourist thing) cole valley winery, 7 mile beach (dogs), oh yeah, and the RUN! shite that was FREEZING! normally takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes to do that sort of distance (21.4 Kms) for me, but Mt. Wellington I was not prepared for! took 2 hours 18 minutes! which was still good apparently, just gotta go back next year to beat it!!
you guys have a lovely little holiday isle down there, don't tell too many ppl about it! oh, going back in Feb. to do the Overland track! we liked lake st. claire so much.....
now back to catching up on the forums!
