Mirror Legalities

I seem to keep ending up riding around with one mirror... don't ask.

but I kinda like it. I can fit through even smaller gaps when splitting.

So what are the requirements for mirrors. On the way home today I had a bit of a brainwave. Putting one of those curved, large fov mirrors (like the ones you get to stick on your mirror so you can be lazy and skip head checks) on the resonators should give me a reasonable side view. There'll be a bit of hand in the way, but there's a bit of elbow in the way with the stock mirrors anyway.

Yes I know it's a silly idea, but I like it! Somehow I have a feeling it won't be legal though.

Maybe I should just follow a certain canberrans example and just take em both off, along with my indicators.

Get some pig spotters mate! You should be able to see between your body and your arms, and they look pretty cool...

You can get them with LED's built in now too

I have put two unregistered & damaged bikes through the blue slip process (in NSW) and both times if the bike came with two mirrors it had to have two mirrors on it to pass throught the blue slip process to then be able to be registered. If it didn't have both mirrors it would NOT have passed.

I would've thought you'd want as many mirrors as you could get Nikos, just in case there's some unexpected daughters around ;)  You have to make sure you're looking your best

Nah, as greg and billy know. My hair comes out of my helmet looking the
same as it went in. No need for touch ups

well one certain law gets flaunted all the time, why stop there.

Because, unlike one certain law, this is actually about safety.
