Hey guys,
As some of u know I just got my first bike, and I'd like to make it a bit more personal, so yeah,
basically I'd like one of those cowl things to hide the back seat, cause there won't ever be anyone on there when I'm riding, plus I'd like to know if u can get those clear lenses for the indicators, and even if possible a clear lens for the tail light, I reckon it'd look sick cause it's a sliver bike.
the other thing, there seems to be a bit of "excess baggage" on my bike, like a reflector at the back and some funny mud guard thingy over the back wheel, d'u guys reckon it's a dumb idea to take all that stuff off.
oh and while i'm writing this does anyone know where I match the colour of my bike, I don't know the colour code or anything, just one of the fairings is cracked and i thought i'd fix it wit one of those fibreglass repair kits.
cheers
---

hey mate....i wouldnt spend huge $$ on it, as its only a 250, and most bikes sell easier in stock form when u go to offload it for a bigger bike, and trust me, u will!!
rear seat cowl- hard to find for that make id expect, but if u do find one id expect to pay $150-$300
Rear mudguard- see if u can use a fender eliminator ($60 or so) and keep the stock one, uncut in case the plod give u grief (removing it is illegal) but we all do it.
indicators- id get aftermarket ones- u can pick em up for under $100 a set, they look good and u can keep ur originals as spares...
little and cheap things are often a way of customising ur bike, so its urs and no1 elses, without spending a fortune... things like
*tinted screen ($100 ish)
*bar ends ($30 ish)
*coloured pegs ($50-100 ish)
*rim stickers ($20 ish?)
these little things can make a nice difference, without breaking the bank, and can easily be converted if u want to sell as stock..heres a pic showing a few of the things i did to the zed...

Yeah honestly dont bother, I thought the same with my zzr250 but its never worth it with a 250.
If your still keen to do the bike up do things you can always rip of and put on a newer bike. Clear Led indicators front and rear cost about $50 I got a good set fitted for $60 but you could do it yourself. As for your mudguard thingy it sounds like a rear fender, you can replace that with a fender eliminator which fits the Indicators as well. They can go for anything between $20 - $60. And i have no idea about a clear lens for the tail light you might have problems with that because brake lights are red and a red globe doesnt cut it!
With the seat cowl, i dont think you'll be able to get one for your bike! I had a neon kit on my 250, it cost about $25 just from autobarn which is a little bling! I wouldnt bother getting an exhaust its not worth it but theres one on ebay for your bike:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Kawasaki-ZXR-250 ... dZViewItem" target="_blank
Just save your money and learn to ride then buy a zx6 or something.
Paint wise, i havent seen the colour of the bike. If its stock you can sometime find the colour code on the complience plate, it will be a 2 letters. Otherwise if you want a cheap job autobarn sell automotive paint in about 100 different colours so i wouldt be suprised if you got a match.
hope this helps?

sean: as the answers suggest spending to much on a 250 specially an oldy like the grey zxr's..is a waste you could be saving for your sevice or next bike... my son had his seats recovered in vinyl for about $35 the two ...(white silly colour )
by an uphulstorer...furniture... not auto trimer ...
get your pillion covered in a colour close to rear plastics ...may be passable...now watch this get howled down

Please

we are not all that bad
Silly white
As for going for a closer colour to the fairings , could look allright, but i would throw too much money into it
