Going soft

Gday,
Bought myself a 2002 ZX9R with just 10,000km on the clock, previously suffered a bit of neglect it did, I am however gradually getting it back to how it should be.
Put 5000km in it just to blow the cobwebs out, turns out I had actually suffered more neglect than the bike.
Just as I was getting fond of it and figuring out how to make it turn corners, the forks start leaking oil and the compression adjusters had tightened up more than my trouser belt on a Sunday afternoon. Ah well good old James from Zenodamper at Taren Point can fix the lot and personalise the whole suspension setup for me, but I have to wait patiently.
Im actually going nuts without it, like missing your new girlfriend or something.
It always seemed a bit soft to me, especially on the forks, bit like myself really in my old age. James should have it ready for me for the ride to Phillip Island, in time to show my support for the Ant, in his bid to score a full time works ride for next year.
Let the good times roll, see u around.
Big Al
