Badovini to Kawasaki - but which team?
Tuesday, 23rd October 2007
Superstock 1000 race winner Ayrton Badovini has signed to ride for Kawasaki in World Superbikes next season.
The Italian won the final round of the 2007 STK championship on a Biassono run MV Agusta and will now step up to the premier class.
The 21-year-old will either ride directly for the official Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse team, alongside Regis Laconi, or 'be entrusted to the Pedercini Team'. Pedercini will become Kawasaki's satellite WSBK outfit in 2008.
Should Badovini ride for PSG-1 then it would mean that the final factory WSBK seat has now been filled, although MotoGPveteran Alex Barros and several BSBstars have also been linked to Fonsi Nieto's former ride.
