Hi, below is some info on a new adventure, an experience to work alongside your current favourite websites and is no way a replacement for excellent sites like KSRC... read on

TWISTS: A Global Travel Adventure, which goes beyond just being an internet-based reality show on sports bikes, will be officially launched on December 1st, 2007.

TWISTS focuses on a long term exploration of the fastest, twistiest roads by two audacious characters on sports bikes, RedRoo & the Pirate. These two will lead you on a twisted journey much like a blend of TV shows like ‘The Long Way Round’ and ‘Top Gear’ with a bit of ‘Mr Bean Goes on Holiday’ mixed in for good measure.

Through the laconic Aussie ‘RedRoo’ and his feisty and excitable young female sidekick ‘The Pirate’ viewers are given the opportunity to join them as they explore with gusto those worldwide riding treasures each and every rider dreams of discovering themselves. From MotoGPs to major bike events, parties from around the world, twisty roads and race tracks (all with an on-the-ground-perspective), the best part of all is that viewers are given a multitude of ways to participate along the way!

The nerve centre, a rich dynamic website, http://www.twistybitz.net" target="_blank" target="_blank, targets itself as the pre-eminent interactive motorcycling + adventure + travel one-stop web shop. In addition, as a communications centre, it boasts a social and business hub of everything TWISTS, and will feature daily video updates, blogs & mini documentaries. Members can also log onto TWISTS and participate in the Forums and Live Chat Rooms to make new friends and discover the motorcycling world like never before.

TWISTS’ multilingual web-forum is designed to foster the growth of the committed worldwide TWISTS communities. Members will also be offered the opportunity to become part of RedRoo & the Pirate, including participation in tours and possible cameo features in films such as Local Guns. A fundamental objective for the TWISTS community is to encourage great, experienced riders to pass on the secrets of riding to new and inexperienced riders, with the goal of creating much better and safer riders. An additional goal is to initiate mentoring programs, like those formed in Australia by RedRoo, as featured in Australian Motorcycle News Issue: 57, August 2007.

The site provides access to the premium TWISTS membership package of FastRide International. FastRide is a paid membership package allowing subscribers free access to the pay-per-view content of the website; discounted travel, accommodation and event packages, discounted TWISTS merchandise, DVDs and access to TWISTS MotoGP parties and other events like ‘TRACK ATTACK’. FastRide will also host trips abroad to meet up and ride with RedRoo & The Pirate at some of the most lauded riding roads and race tracks, generally coinciding with a local MotoGP race to top off the perfect riding adventure!

So whether you are a voyeur and sick of ‘Big Brother’; a motorcyclist who wants a heads up on where to travel, a rider who wants first hand experience of the chaos that is RedRoo & the Pirate, or a business owner that would like some global promotion, check out TWISTS!

F'n COOL !! I haven't seen bugger-all of all your photos from back then ! Bloody hell, it was a number of lifetimes ago......

Stereo - Once Roo and Pirate start the o/s section, the site will be updated with videos and stories of their trip to all 4 corners of the bikers globe - it should make for interesting viewing ( and reading ;) ).

yep was many lifetimes ago matey, some of the best days of life too, memories that never fade because they were burnt into our minds, riders rarely play on their bikes like that or party like it anymore anywhere... ahhh yep they were indeed the good old days...lmao..next i'll be saying the classic.."I remember when", but like you Gos, I do!

more Bathurst shots are up on http://www.twistybitz.net" target="_blank ;) they were not my photos but my brothers honeymoon shots...Mick the romantic...lol.. takes his bride to Easter Bike Races at Bathurst and not Hastings st Noosa, now thats seriously cool... :D

Guys

This is more than watching others ride ... unless that's all you want out of life.

It's about RedRoo & the Pirate riding around the world, meeting up with people along the way, from this and other forums worldwide. It's about giving people the opportunity to have their 15 minutes of fame, of giving them air time infront of the camera, showing us their favourite roads and/ or tracks.

We will also be looking to meet motorcycling greats from today and yesteryear and involving them in mini-documentaries and live chat via the website.

Also we will be putting special packages together at preferential prices - ever wanted to ride one of the Moto GP tracks, have 3-4 days there, local guide, deals on tyres, track instruction ...???

If you haven`t done so already check out http://www.twistybitz.net- the site is being refined so if you find any broken links etc - they'll be fixed shortly.
