Midrange Lull - Shims are to carbs like _______ is to Fuel i

Post by BikerBoy »

Being new to Fuel injected model bikes, i thought about what possible
engine mods to make further down the track, but realised i've no idea about FI bikes..

If you add a shim to the needles in a carb bike you remove the 5k dull spot and rev right through

what must you do to an FI model to get the same result? ? powercommander?

advice would be great.

Hook a computer up to it and change the tune, and/or the injectors. That's how it works in a car anyway. Is the power commander the bike equivalent of a Motec for a car?
