More developments... Any Ideas?

Well its now been 8 days in the shop, and they reckon they have tried pretty much everything bar the wiring loom and the engine itself...
They say it only happens after its warmed up and hot, power loss down low in the rev range and kinda surgy holding speed, seemed fine to me up high.
Doesn't blow any smoke, sits on about 1/4 of the temp gauge... I hope it isnt the motor, they said like $500 for a new wiring loom if it comes down to that... fuck
Anyone got any ideas...

Cause at the moment its not looking very good... and I have sfa money.

OMFG I called them just then and said I want my bike back...
silence...
okay what bike
zx2r...
oh hes just finishing up now hes fixed it to 95% better than it was with a tiny flatspot.
Uh what you serious?
Yep
Turns out the tards don't know how to tune an import sportsbike carby or some shit. He said they tuned it to "Kawasaki's specification" or some crap and it still ran like poo.
So they finally rang the importers and they said yeah the zxr needs a much higher tune or something along those lines.
So yeah they tune it up like they said and walah most of the crappiness gone!
Im farken happy now I can ride again, but bloody hell, 8 days cause they are too crap to tune the zxr carby properly...
Oh yeah cost me $180 seeing noone rang me either lol, $40 extra cause in their giant search for the non-existent problem they put in new plugs and leads n filters and whatever else u change over in a service.
/drama
Needless to say it isnt going back there ever again!

Part of owning a bike is finding a good mechanic, and dealing with the crap ones in the process. Someone may be able to recommend a good one near you - but it's likely you'll need to travel.
At least you have it back now

I've been recommended to go to Midtown Kawasaki by several members of OCAU. They seem to get a lot of praise so I'll give em a go next time it needs a service.

Well atleast you've got most of your major service stuff out of the way.. You shouldn't have to do any more than an Oil change for some time...
Hopefully it's running nice and hard for you now
Let us know how she goes now when you take it for a spin..
