Hi All, especially you racers & track nuts has anyone seen a fairing mount like this:

Looks like it should be fixed to a hollowed locking nut for the steering head bearings but the base can actually be lifted out like this:

Lifting it requires the fairing to flex so I dont think it would just jump out, but I'm just wondering if it should actually screw into some sort of mounting which I don't have?
any input would be great
Cheers
Matt

Yep a home made, light weight jobbie, just leave it for now & see how it travels on the 10th

I wouldn't worry about it Matt, when you're underway the pressure on the screen will be pushing the bracket further into the headstock so it's very unlikely to come out. If you get nervous we could fashion something up to lockwire it to the triple clamp while still allowing it to rotate but I wouldn't stress about it.

Cheers, guys. I thought it might have been a homemade jobbie, as it has not markings at all on it, so see how it goes on the 10th.
