Screwdriver (bladed) and hammer is what I used to use on the ZZR, think the 9's is easier in that you can at least get your hand on it (the filter) can't you?

i dont think that the filter on this bike has clearance for leverage. You will need a Plier kind of wrench to get to it from the bottom to loosen it. You may also need to remove few screws from the right faring, 3 or 4 from the right, down the bottom

forgot to mention, will an oil filter gripper work?
careful with the screwdriver, last time i put a screwdriver through a filter to get it off i ended up tearing it open, it didnt even budge.
Since i sereted the edges i couldnt even touch it to get it out. thats when i bough myself the oil filter tool :D

well i did it

had to undo some bolt

from some google search i did.
There is a rubber oil line with a metal end on it that connects to the engine right by the oil filter, it is held on with one bolt, undo that and it will come right out you will just have to lift up on the coolant line, then just dont forget to hook up that oil line when you put it back in.
all done now..

B model's are a PITA to change the filter on, have done it several times.

C model is much easier.

Not a lot of clearance with the headers are there? when i had a set of formula-1 pipes on my gpx750 i was mere millimeters away from having to remove them to change the oil filter.
