I went for a long ride today with about 15 bikes & there was a couple of bikes in front i let them go ahead a bit :? We all started giving the bikes hell & flogging them 8) Then im coming around this tight right hand sweeper doing 120kmh on the left hand side of the lane & there is 2 bikes around the corner that backed right off to about 40kmh  The one at the rear of them seen me in his mirror hooting around the corner & moved over to the left hand side also in my way  So i slam both brakes on & mainly the front end locks up on this corner & i went out into the gravel & wooshed up the outside of them sliding both wheels in the gravel & just missed a guide post & trying to avoid going down into a ditch  then i brought it back near road some how but as i came back out near the road again the same thing almost happened ( Running into the back of slow bikes ) Then its like im sort of trapped by them out on the gravel & the bike was sliding on two wheels still in the gravel :x Well in the end i held it up & never dropped it thank god :D They both was shitting themselves more than me

Nice save by the sounds of it Malcom but whats goin on mate the zx10 should always be at the front of the pack then there would be not need to worry about those back markers.

Yeah after that i kept well behind them cause they would take off from whatever town we stopped at before me & then i made sure we had a long straight before i caught up & tore past them & left them 2 well behind

I have to admit that I'm also guilty of that (slowing down).

If I'm not ready for the corner, I'll just brake and slow down.
So it's best to keep a safe distance, especially when riding with ppl like me. tongue3.gif

Glad to hear you kept it together mate, would suck for you to rash yours just before mine gets back on the road. Hopefully our ride will be less... eventful.

Almost did the same thing the other night. I was trying to catch 2 mates that had taken off earlier and i came over a rise doing around 160 and they had slowed down to about 60  I pulled up just in time... 8)

Glad to hear you kept it upright...

i do much the same sumtimes, not sure wot kinda speed i can carry thru a
corner..i hate riding too close to other bikes after my 1st ever drop in
nasho (thanks to phil & the boys for picking it up & bagging me out for
years ), but i almost hit a guy who'd stopped mid corner..i wasnt so
lucky....so now i give em heaps of room in front of me so i can see clearly
, and if i cant, i back off...theres no trophies for the 1st to the local
cafe!!
i nearly got cleaned up last nite after a toss on a zx10r (there group name
of these knobs-mostly asians is "swat"..some , and i mean only SOME of em
can actually ride, tho u never see em in the hills)..so were sitting at
lights, me and a guy on a gix6 & the guy on the gix (shane) is chatting to 2
young chicks in a wrx on P's asking em to race us...he takes off on green, i
wait to give him enuf room then as i go to launch this toss comes past me on
the back wheel in my lane...however im on my back wheel too & he veers in
front of me, i shit myself & bring it down hard b4 he cuts me off (and 2
lanes of traffic) to get to the right turn lane..wot a wanker...

Narfie there was a coupla wankers in your scenario n one of them was a Blade. You know better then that bloody behave yourself.
Good saves & Be carefull guys ..... at least till after the bloody holidays.
