REPLACING INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS
does anyone know how to change light bulbs in the INSTRUMENT PANEL on a 1996 zx7r?

Assuming you mean the general illumination of the clocks ?
It's a wedge based bulb, remove the holder by twisting 1/4 turn and pull the bulb out

Cant remember if you need to take the instrument cluster off the bike or not, I think you do though, I think you have to take off the front fairing, but you definately dont have to take it apart, I did mine when I had the bike apart as Rossi said they just twist out.

From memory,
it's slightly to the left of centre of the clocks (underneath - so you don't need to split the clocks) but unless you have tiny hands ?? it's time to take off the front fairing

Just make sure you replace the globe with the correct wattage (is that what it is?)
