Just when I thought I'd seen the light. The manuals are pretty basic on the ZX10R. I was wondering if there was a trick to stop oil going everywhere on the ZX10R when you do the oil filter replacement, but it just says "remove" then "replace" ... ahhh ... very handy ....
Still, way better than a Honda!

if its anything like the zx9, i use a cut down drink bottle - inserted under the oil filter neck - oil runs out into container. very little oil, if any ends up on the headers.....and you dont look like a rasta christmas party when you go for your next ride

I changed mine the other day, used some alfoil on the headers just below the filter, bent up the side and front so it would act like a shallow pan, no oil spillage on the headers. Just use a peice big enough to fold a couple of times.
