lost dangly bit

I lost one of the dangly bits under the foot rest on my er6.

(Calling it a feeler sounds ruder!)
is this an important part? should I just get rid of the other one to match or replace it?
(probably have to replace the footpeg too if I do that)
my only worry is do I need them to get through scrutineering at a track day?
(Haven't done one yet but are planning one next month. they say the bike has to be roadworthy)

Suggest a breakers yard BUT you don't need them.......affectionately known as "hero blobs" in the UK.......they're just there to touch down before the footpeg wears itself away

Get rid of the other one, the bike will love you for it.

cheers. I'll whip it off in the morning. haven't had a new bike before and my old ones were a bit
more minimalist.

Best get rid of the other one.
I broke one off of my ER6F. Ordinarily they just screw out, but once snapped off they are a bugger to remove. We had to grind mine off as it had such a sharp edge it was cutting into my boot.
Better without them!

you only need one dangly bit to have a dig mate
however if it stays dangly it just gets in your way
