04 vs 08 throttle housing

can anyone tell me whether the 04 throttle housing is the same as the 08. I am about to fit a quick action throttle that MadKaw gave me and I have pulled the housing apart except it doesnt look the same as I remember from my 07 and the fit is a little tight. the other 2 reasons I ask this is;

1. I have checked the Kawa website for the part numbers and they are the same but it wouldnt be the first time Kawasaki reused the old part number on the new part. I learnt this lesson last time I tried to interchange earlier model parts even though the part numbers were the same on the website

2. I dont want t grind out the 2 little notches in the upper half of the housing if there wont be enough clearance anyway.

any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
