Lowering an ER6F?

I'm looking for a new bike for my wife who has just gotten her full licence and needs something bigger than her CBF250, and one of the short listed bikes is the ER6F.

I was just wondering if anyone here knew if it was easily lowered? My wife is (by her own words) a short ass and has trouble sitting on most sports bikes and touching the ground. It's partly a confidence thing but I'd like to lower whatever bike she gets to give her a helping hand!

Of course my local dealer was not sure if it could be done but if I bought the bike then he could look into it... doh!!!

Any thoughts or has anyone here done this?

Cheers

one thing to do would be to get the seat sculpted... on some bike as much as an inch can be taken off just like this.... even if u get maybe 10-15mm out of it it may make it more manageable...

the normal way is to of course play with the spacers in the shock but because of the lay-down style shock of the er6f, this would be fruitless i'd imagine...

and a quick google search tells me that there may be a shorter penske rear shock ($$$) and maybe bring the front forks up through the tripple clamp...maybe you could investigate these

Kazz who is 5 foot nothing went through that process and found that it was expensive and still could not get it low enough for her.But heres an option she has her zzr600 for sale which she has had since new purchesed 2004 and believe it or not the seat height is 740mm.Of course if you are looking for a brand new bike this is no help.Bonus is that her zzr600 would blow a er6 of the map ;)
