Drought - Pigz ar$e !!!!

250mm in an hour Wednesday night around midnight. I was fairly fortunate & just had to make a few temporary dam walls in the backyard.
Me best mate John (Poppy) on the other hand wasn't as lucky ...... Hows 3 inches of water above the bottom door seals on a restored 64/65 Mustang Grab ya. Not happy Jan. Water up to the air breather on the race bike & over every axle in the building. Laundry went 3 foot under water & about 2.5 feet through the Garage, store room & workshop area.

The water knocked over both side fences in his back yard. Mud & Guk everywhere & it looks like a road base has been put in through the middle of the back lawn.
The washing machine was bobbing from the power cord & the Gurney bailed early & went floating past Poppy at about the 6 inch rising tide point.
Full day cleaning up, 3 sets of Bike wheel bearings to replace as well as Gearbox & differential servicing for the 'Stang.

Pics up soon, Frick'n phone wont talk to the whirly box atm. Rusty ..... jk ;)
Thankfully tonights Alledged Mega storm went about 100ks north of us, so we had a 15min drenching & a pretty spectacular light show.
Cheers Nanna

Yep- it came 100kms north to my place!

No power at home for two days- no internet still! :(

Lost all the food in my fridge and freezer...... my whole suburb is trashed- power lines, trees covering the roads, everything flooded. There has been water pouring through the roof at work (but at least I still have internet access here)

The roads are stuffed- potholed, washed out, gravel dirt and debris everywhere- my playground has been ravaged!

It pissed down the night I was there (at Nanna's) too, one thing about Brisbane, it doesn't spit there, it's either pissing down or good weather.. I came home to Victoria after 2 weeks on the NSW north coast and surrounds on Saturday ( a week away from summer) to 30 below zero, pissing down rain, was friggin hypothermic by the time I got home..

More heavy rain for the next few days. Sad for everyone up here with tarps on their roofs (every second house in my area.) It is eerie looking around and seeing the destruction- it is taking so long for everyone to make a dent in the clean-up.

Still have no internet at home due to the damn storms- I'M GOING CRAZY!!!!! :(

Thank you Ron- very sweet of you.

I could move down there for a few months until things return to normal.

I am lucky- my place is fine now. Thank you for your kind thoughts. :)
