Pirelli Sport-Demon vs Bridgestone BT45
I've been given quote for these 2 sets of tyres for my ZZR-250.
They both cost less than $300(front fitted + rear fitted). And the price difference between the two is only $30.
I use the bike for commuting(avg 40km daily) and weekend rides.
I need some advise and reviews here. Thanks
Cheers
RG

rg, ring mick the tyre god at mtm up at goodna, he's a legend. pontikat will have his number. ask him what he would recomend 4 ur beasty. u would b hard pressed to get a better price than his as well,he could do a front & rear pilot 4 my 6 (pilot power on front & pilot sport on rear) fitted for just under $300 from memory, so should b a bit cheaper 4 ur 2fiddy m8

RG,
You might like to look at the comments in this thread

I was much happier with the BT-45 than with the Dunlop which came on my bike but can't comment on the Pirelli.
The BT-45 should last you a long time too

yeh i just got bt-45's a few days ago.
heaps nicer than the oem tyres, felt good on the gor ride.
should last a while, they're dual compound, so soft side and harder centre (i commute a lot too).
dunno about the pirelli's though so not an overly helpfull post

Snappa I've had a bit to do with the BT45 & they are a very good sports/tourer tyre. But as i found out recently, I know stuff all about tyres so ring this bloke he has my opinion. He just hasn't told me it yet
Mick MTM 3818-1208 79 church road Goodna
What ever he reckons i totally agree with.
He should be about $240 a pair i reckon but if you get him to do it take a magazine n a Seafood sandwich.
Cheers Brett

Seems like there's alot of good things to say about the BT-45.
Just a few more questions(since the shops will be closed tomorrow),
What about wet n dry grip?
Personally I've used BT090 on my previous bike, and I like it alot, Bridgestone has since gained my trust. But I'll like to see what other option I have out there...

I've got BT45s on my Honda. Very good tyre in wet or dry, and wear well.
I think I said in another thread that I'm a Bridgestone convert. Not that I've tried the Pirellis.

After some consideration and advise from the tyres ppl, I've decided to give the
Pirelli Sport-Demon a go.
The cost--> $120(front) + $145(rear) + $20(fitting/balancing) =
$285.
*sorry for the big pic*
<--- Front
<--- Rear
