Gold Coast State School Recommendations

I am about to be relocated for work to the Gold Coast. Amongst all the stuff we're trying to sort out is schools for the kids. If anyone has a recommendation or definate "don't send your kids there!" I'd appreciate the advice.

We are currently considering Southport, Coombabah and Helensvale State High Schools.

Dunno how true it is but a mate of mine used to reckon Miami High is rough as guts. :?
