We did, and we're miles away. Matthew was in a chair in the rumpus room sitting on a concrete floor. He felt sideways motion for a couple of seconds. I was in the main part of the house on a wooden floor. House sort-of shook and the doorframe I was passing creaked slightly.
Matthew was pretty shaken by it (emotionally as well as physically), I was more bemused...fire wind rain and now this, what's next famine and pestilence?

Yeah that sent me running outside. Got used to it as Indonesia was volcanic. Just did not expect it to happen here!

Got it well and truly here in Williamstown. My little wooden shack shook and the glasses and crockery in the cabinet rattled and shook!

It felt like a truck had run into the house!

Bloody typical!
I may very well be the only one waiting to experience an Earthquake and it always happens elsewhere.

We felt it here in Bendigo, was sitting on the couch watching TV when the couch started rocking side to side, quite funny really when your on a concrete floor and the only one on the couch!!!
Found this last night and it confirmed it was a quake.

I'm in Rowville, eastern suburbs. As soon as the dog went nuts and the rumble started, I knew it was an earth tremour....a bit weird to say the least......

No need to Panic !
Quite simple explaination really . I was sitting in front of the tele and Stace had commented on how he was feeling a bit toey . Needless to say he disappeared into his bedroom at around 9.00pm .
Next thing the doors and windows are rattling and then all quiet again .
I just turned the tele up loud .
Halls Gap regulars are used to this type of seismic activity , HG newbies , you have been warned .
Mick , dont let Matthew know the real reason , he will be emotionally scared for life !
