So I'm making a shopping list of spare parts to carry and thought I'd think outside the box a bit.
Are there any bits and pieces like brake levers or foot pegs used on the 00 ZX6Rs (or 7s or 9s etc etc) that are from some global parts bin?
I remember replacing a brake lever on my old gixxer with a triumph part hence the question.

I dunno about "global" parts bin pieces (I think the oil filter is pretty common, dunno about anything else) but there's heaps of zx6r J bits that fit other models. Here's a few from memory:
- rearset assembly (pegs, levers, hanger, etc) is a straight swap with 98-02 zx6r and 98-03 zx9r
- clutch lever is a straight swap with 98-02 zx6r and 00-03 zx9r
- brake lever is a straight swap with 98-02 zx6r and 98-03 zx9r
- front axle is a straight swap with 02-03 zx9r (and maybe 00-01 but not 98-99)
- brake discs are a straight swap for 98-99 zx9r (and I think 00-01 zx9r)
Virtually nothing from the 7r will fit, nor from the earlier (94-97) 9r

not that it helps, but the 3 bolt mufflers from around that era (or a bit earlier) fit on a wide number of bikes. e.g. the carbon fibre pipe i got for my 97 rf900 (Suzuki) came off a 1998 zx6! Then again i can't see you having a spare pipe in your tankbag "in case".
