Crim power figures

Hey guys, I just got my 10 mapped yesterday and feel a little disappointed by the final figure of 156.25 at the wheel. The bike still runs 525 chain, has a full Yoshi system, K&N, no AIS, Ivans TRE and of course a PC3. Being here in the capital I am 2000 feet up, but I don't know how much difference the pressure makes. Given what you see bandied about on the net it's hard to know what's good and what's not. Are my expectations too high or is my bike one of those ones?

Here is the scoreboard from the last dyno day, every dyno is going to give different figures so I wouldnt hold much to it.

Don't worry too much about the end number. It's the gain that's important. Where did it start at before you added all the gear?

When I got it the bike had the system, K&N and PC3 with a generic map from the PC website. The gains made by the custom map are 5hp at 7k and 9hp at 12k.

mate the key here is that every dyno reds different. some are modest with the figures some are a bit more liberal. I expect my 04 to have about that and it only has a slip on but I am basing that off Watties 10r (se list above) as it has about the same mods.

In saying that I ride my road zx10r 08 and it has +20rw/hp than the crim but on the road I woudnt notice ;)

Who's dyno was it run on Darryn? Have you got the printout with torque, A/F ratio etc?

Looking at the board, your HP figure and knowing how some Dyno places work, I would expect the figure you have to be realistic Rear Wheel HP. Some Dynos seem to add a bit extra to give crank figures, others are rear wheel figures.

not sure i have seem a crank dyno anywhere but there is alot of difference in each dyno. Depends on who or what they are calibrated to.

As marty says work off the base figure on that dyno and work on the increase percentages ;)

Yup, no a/f ratio though. It was done at Motogarage in Mitchel. I forgot something Brett showed me too, which was a ten he did with a Akro system doing 161. Apparently the Yoshi usa system (on my bike when I bought it ) is pretty average. I checked the Yoshi power graph and would have to agree, before 152, after 156. Anyone interested in a second hand system for a crim. ;)

Ahh Ok, I haven't had the Crim on that one so can't compare figures....although if the 146 is your before run, it was definitely on the low side. Looks like you've picked up a fair bit throughout the range, so I wouldn't be too stressed about outright power numbers to be honest :kuda:

I will say though the graph looks very flat for a 10r. With no evidence of sudden rises where the power comes on :?

I know its a different graph at different scale but this is what I mean

throw the yoshi in the bin and by a akro system you wil;l be assured your power will rise up

I was thinking Arata. Here is the Yoshi power graph followed by Arata. I don't know weather one was tuned and the other not, but the Arata certainly looks more inpressive.
