After a recent test ride of a new 10R i wasnt completely sold on it. I actually prefer my 9 most likely cause of the comfortable factor like i know my bike, i know what it can and cant do. i am still seriously considering the 10 on the belief the more i ride it the better it gets. Anyways just wondering if i could hear some pros about the 10. Or differences people have found between the two. And also what kind of changes if any people have made to thier 10`s.
Thanks.

As a "road bike" the nine is still quite handy (well mine is anyway), every time I jump off the rex and give the 9 some stick I go back to the ZRX and realise that the 9 is still a VERY quick motorcycle. Too quick for most places with draconian enforcement of speed limits.
Its also very comfy as well.
Saying that I rode Mick C's titanium 05 on the CDT and it felt quite nice, I aslo rode the 08 and thought it was very capable but what I didnt like was the way it sanitised the speed and made it no fun to ride at even double the speed linit - fine if your going for WSB glory but not good if you need a licence or work etc..
Another reason why I love my ZRX

Re: ZX9R vs ZX10R
It was an 08 model i rode. My 9 is a 2000. At the recent april fools run in casino my 9 not only matched the R1`s and the newer 10`s it beat most of them. even a couple of 12r`s (my mates). which i took great delight in rubbin that in!! I think i would be more keen to buy a big bang 10 rather then the 08 i rode. From what i read they are a much more rider friendly bike in regards to the use of power and how it is delivered

Re: ZX9R vs ZX10R
mate it all depends who riding the bike in almost every case rather than the bikes power.
On the topic of the bikes I cant say that I have had more than a 30min squirt on a 93 9r but I must say that I was pleasently surprised on how nimble they are compared to their bulky size. After getting of the 9r I still find the 10r more responsive and impressive in term of power and agility. I suppose as I said above it's all how you ride them.
I have done plenty of long trips on a 10r and I cant say that I have had a really problem with comfort other than the occasional numb arse. I have found however that the bug does have higher rearset foot peg levels (more race orientated) than the older models. This casues a few sore legs on the straight long roads where you have nothing else to think about.
