I don't know anything about sailing, but isn't it a bit odd to let a 16yrs old girl sail by herself around the globe?
Lots of guts, but what about pirates/criminals out there.

I don't know who the girl is, but I'd defy any pirate to withstand the hormonal ups and downs of the average 16 yo girl.

Yes, I believe they are allowed to sail around the globe by themselves...

I guess when you set off around the globe, you kinda dont expect to see anything...

It was 2.30 in the morning and she was asleep according to ABC Radio.
Ships radar would have picked her up ages b4 the collision, but I guess no-one was watching it
