Since we've had one parenting thread this week.

My youngest son announced today that.................

he is growing a mullet,

where did I go wrong?

how old is he?? oh hang on that doesnt matter does it... umm just cut if off in the middle of the night, or threaten to take away his xbox/PS3/whatever it is he is obsessed with... this needs to be stopped before it takes hold, cos before you know it he will be standing there with a mullett on his wedding day and we dont want that to happen

Tell him no problems, next parent-teacher night/weekend footy game/school play/whatever can give maximum embarrassment you're going to go wearing a TROUT, maybe a smoked one if it's a classy event.

At the very least salmon, preferably not tinned.

My nephew started growing a rat's tail of all things. We gave him so much shit about being a MegaBogan from Queanbeyan it he finally let my brother cut it off.

Grow one too Matt. When he sees his uncool father with a mullet he wont want to be caught dead with one. Embarrassingly, I too had one of the best mullets going around back in the early 90's.

Luckily I don't think there is any photographic evidence of it.
