Wanting to trade in my 08 ninja 250 for an 09 or 10 ZX6R looking for advice on how much i can expect to get

Second hand market is really weak at the moment, particularly the larger bikes so you should be able to buy at a good price if you're prepared to haggle, can find a needy seller and you're not too emotional about "must have it now!" A good buy-in gives you some leeway on the sale price.

there going for about 4k in the dealerships so they will probably offer 2.5k if you lucky
its only 5 for a new one.
strange as it is a zxr250 from 2000 is still getting 6-7k, i got offered 2k for my zxr250 ( avatar) on saturday just gone on the 2010 zx6r
go figure.

on a different note.
there are heaps of realy good second hand zx6r's around i found 1 honda dealer with 8 zx6r's and 3 636's
the most expencive was a LE modle 2008 zx6r at 9999.

Good choice of bike you're after

Sell private. If you trade at a dealer you get screwed big time. If you dont have a trade your in the best bargaining position when it comes to negotiating a price and the dealer should be more than willing to negotiate without a trade in. A little extra effort can save you thousands

I priced a new 250 in 09 before i got my zxr 250 and the price 5K for ninja 250
we are taking a LAMS bike aren't we??
or are we talking the fuel injected late modle zx2r? (imported)
