We'll see how much of a bargain when I pick it up.

Turns out that it really was a bargain!
paint job isn't the prettiest in the world, the stickers have already started to be taken off, & it needs a new battery, but otherwise it's good to go.
I guess I can now be on this forum legitimately, instead of just for my photos!

good pickup charlie, and good heads up wayne. Hey wayne, you know you're entirely responsible if it's a shitbox

bad news I'm afraid! I actually won this auction the previous time, but it didn't meet reserve. I'd been watching it ever since it had been relisted. when wayne posted it up my first thoughts were "don't create interest! you'll drive the price up!".
fortunately, interest wasn't created.
i am now in the boat suggested by gman above - but the buttering up is taking longer than I'd hoped!
i think i will run it through a blue slip & see about registering it for normal use, at least for 12 months as that will be a better way to get it to the track rather than trailering (& i get another "commuter")
