Led tail lights,flashing too fast

Just fitted a integrated clear led brake/indicator tail light to my zx7r.I also fitted a undertail with led indicators as well. The indicators in the undertail seem to be a lot brighter than the ones in the tail light,so i've decided to run with them, but ,the flash rate has sped up somewhat, and I just wondered if anyone else has encountered this and found it to be a problem in anyway and found a way to rectify.

you need to fit some flasor resistors. Find them on ebay easy enough or Jaycar

Are they the long rectangular ceramic blocks with a wire each end that were supplied with the tail light?I fiddled around with them, joined them here and there but didnt seem to make any difference.

yeah that's them, if I remember correctly from my one attempt at LED's about 6 years ago you just fit them into the indicator wire, some get VERY hot though so watch out for that!

they're about 50-60mm long, about 10mm square, and say 25w7something j,1 wire each end,and theyre supposed to have 2?Did they give me the wrong ones or can i make these work?Could it be a job for a sparky?

they seem big but still cant see what else they would be if they came with the indicators.

25 watt ceramic resistors ......... wire each one in series with each indicator. They simulate the resistance of the original indicator bulb, so you retain the correct flash rate.

Tried them again but no luck.Bought a led flasher relay for motorcycle at supercheap, but of course when I went to fit it, the connections were different.Does anyone know where and if i can purchase a led relay that will fit straight on,and am I going to fuck things up by riding around with my indicators flashing too fast?

Just read your OP - are you trying to run 2 sets of rear LED indicators ? If so, you may have to decide on one set or the other.

No, only running the leds in the undertail, they seem the brightest and more prominent. What is a OP?

Do they come with instructions? I'd imagine maybe parallel wiring? Mine are quicker than stock but I like it; catches the eye more effectively.

Either gonna get used to them flashing faster or take it to a sparky.Over it.
