Where is a good place to get this done and how much would I be looking at having to pay?

Give Eastern Creek wreckers a call and ask for Lewinski Polishing, cant remember guys first name but Dave could help you on that one(he lives across the road from Dave).
Then again I could supply you with some wet n dry and you could have a rub yourself.
Sorry Collette my mind was running wild again

Cought up with Don Lewinski on tuesday ... he's one of my customers & I needed the ZXR race bike rims polished so to save time I had stripped everything off the rims myself & delivered directly to don ... he's about 3 km from the creek... he recons I can pick up on friday so I will post pics same day I getem back.
He is going to polish back to the last ridge just before the spokes so should look good.
Mate I was blown away totally when I saw a gixer swing arm & totally polished rims that he had just finished, he reckons 3 weeks & quite a few $ for this lot.

Yeah, I did my rims and Phil did his aswell.
I'm sorely tempted to do the swingarm but I've only just got the bike back on the road and I don't want to loose her again for more weeks while I get sore hands.
And yeah, I know he does a real quality job down there.
Maybe you can get the whole lot polished and enter into Auto Salon 2005

Just to clear things up a little. Don doesn't live across the road from me, another mate does and we all hang around together so he's over this way a fair bit..
He works out of Eastern Creek wreckers, and if you want to contact him call there and ask for Don and he will sort out a KSRC discount for ya... His last name isn't Lewinski either.... he borrowed that name from another famous polisher... if you get my drift...

Dave ... We had a good laugh about the name confusion...when I told him...anyway the job is top notch & he is highly recommended seeing as he wont let anything go out the door without a last check & all clear.
Heres another pic
