Hey,
Looking to upgrade and was after some advise re selling the ninja 250. I'm precious about it & was wondering if it is ok to say no to learners who want to test ride it? It hasn't got a mark on it & I'm scared someone could scratch or drop it....
Also is there a recommended website or paper to list it?
Thanks,
Megan

Totally understandable.. you could simply say if they wanna take it for a test ride, leave the full amount as a deposit

I agree, full amount up front and their licence details, if they complain they are not a serious buyer imo.
Unless I know them reasonably well I probably wouldnt allow a test ride at all, if they want to know the condition
you take it to a bike shop of their choice at their expense to get an independent opinion.

I always get scan of license and get them to show me the full money and agree that if they brake they buy.
I sold my previous bike (Hyo GT650R LAMS) to a L plater but he brought his Dad who rode it first then i agreed he could ride it.
On return he chucked a U-turn in front of the house and nearly put it down his Dad replied " Pity he didn't drop it guaranteed sale for you hahaa"
They bought but yeah you can normally tell if there serious or not, worst thing is putting " No joy riders" in your ad i purposely did not look at bikes with shit like this.
For selling got to Bike sales find the cheapest equivalent of what your selling and price $100 cheaper=Profit???
I used to always try get the most out of my vehicles and its not worth it. price it resonable ot cheap and don't budge on price. you will sell it quick.

Go with Bikesales.Genius site and like said above ,price it right and the phone will ring off the hook.Go the extra bucks and have the security biz which hides your phone number.Callers have to use there details to get your number so you tend not to get dickheads and spam. You only get the serious buyers.
