Warped cylinder head?

I'm having trouble extracting the spark plug from cylinder 1 on my zxr, it seems like the port has warped or expanded as I can't get the socket down to the plug by about 20mm :( !

Also after finally getting the engine to run yesterday it seems like the exhaust is blowing at cylinder 1 too, not sure if the two issues are connected :? ?

Probably gonna take the engine out to clean it anyway but any advice on the above problems would be appreciated, especially if it can be done before I pull out the engine :) !

Cheers

No way a cylinder head can warp that much without clearly visible signs. More likely the tool isn't seating properly or the tool is too long and fouling the frame rail when you try to seat it's head. Or, the plug tool is too wide at the head and the additional angle from Number 1 being so close to the frame rail, is causing it to foul. Not possible to have a cylinder head warp the plug tunnel to the degree where it would cause the plug tool not to be able to seat. The head would have to melt to do it. :) Try a different tool or keep persevering.
