This my old ELR, i built some years ago...
I bought it as a crashed bike , was going to restore it, but got talking to bob martin, and this was the end result.
The bike was stripped completley, the frame went to bob's to get checked, was straight, so then we got carried away.
89GSXR swingarm, momo shock link removed, set up for the showa piggy backs(oem) adj ride height on the swingarm.
GSXR wheels and brakes. billit alloy brake carrier's
530 chain conversion.
rubber engine mounts removed, and solid billit ones made.
Steering dampier fitted.
Massive fork brace, solid billit alloy.
And a hole heap of orther bits i cant remember!!!
Big kitted engine.
Set up by dave at krooze tune.
I did a few ridedays on her, was timed by bob on its first outing at broadford, 1.09s back in 98, not bad for a street bike on street tyres, with shit house ground clearence!!!! ridin by a hack...

Looks good, bet your kicking yourself for selling it.

In this fucked up world of draconian speed enforcement of ever increasingly stupid speed limits it would make a great roadbike.

Yer, was sorry, do miss the old girl... it was a guenine one to. and i still had all the orginal gear to go with it.
Allways got a lot of attention wherever it went, was just one of those things, the editer of streebike mag came up to me just after the rebuild, at the toy run here in melbourne, and wanted to do a feature on it. needed the money to fund something else at the time.... but i did get what i wanted for it tho, i had been offered $25 grand one time from a japanese guy who wanted to take back to japan, sold it a few years later for not a lot less than that tho...
