On my way home today at about 1pm a Ducati Monster collected a Deer.

He was in the area between Bull Ridge Rd and Blaxlands Ridge Rd just at the twin lanes heading to Singleton.

The rider was bashed up a bit but OK, his bike will need some work. Apparently he didnt come off his bike  , the entire right bar on the bike was fucked he had a cut finger and was clutching his shoulder.

Ambos we getting called when i stopped.

The Deer was dead!

Becareful as this time of year the Deers are out especially in that stretch of road, i have seen a few already on my commute and they are big bastards.

Ride Safe. :kuda:

Sure do and it come about years ago when every hobby and some bigger farmers thought they would make millions out of them, after a while the arse fell out of the market so some people let them go into the wild and some escaped and so the story goes.

Been around longer than that. They were originally brought out by the Acclimatization Societies who also brought out trout, salmon, carp, redfin, foxes, rabbits etc. Back in the 1860's. (Ballarat Fish Acclimatisation Society still runs the trtout hatchery in Ballarat)

 If he had some gear on the damage might have been considerably less

Deer, Roos, Wombats, Bush Turkeys..... there's heaps out there just waiting to catch you out, I have hit a Roo near Wollombai in the ute, so glad it wasn't the bike as it was a big farker  you seriously have no control over the situation even if you are careful.
