If anybody has a spare alternator for a GPz; ZRX; ZX; ZZR laying about, that looks something like this:

(ie and air-cooled alternator - not one that runs on the end of the crank)
would you please WEIGH it for me?

I'm considering adapting a bike alternator to run on my racecar.

well suprisingly (or perhaps not ) - I do have one of these out in the 4th.

Weighed it tonight - about 1kg. Maybe a tad over, that is just using some bathroom scales......actually lighter than I thought it would be ? An alternator like this one would be easily adapted to anything really......

no probs - you should be able to find one of these easy enough, the same sort of alternator was used on all the motors based on the GPz900R....also check Findapart.

i have a few from zxr 750 i could ossibly sel one these run a pulley
