chewing the fat (via sms emails etc) last few days with a few that i know who have bikes
the question of servicing came up..and especially fluid changes.

I am asking what sort of service interval people use for radiator coolant on theior bikes... especially the larger bikes like
the 12R or 14R . I last did a flush and replace 5 years ago (system was clean with no sludge then and bike has no coolant leaks)

time for another change????

Hi,coolant and brake fluid should be changed every 2 years,but being a bike i tend change them once a year just to be safe..

Yes mate!! coolant looses its potental after time like oils and other things,brake fluid conducts water (meaning it attracts water due to the rubber sealing everything)PS rubber is pourise!
.I had an fzr 1000 in the early days and had my front brakes lock up after a few hard brakes due to no brake fluid changes.

I changed my coolant and brake fluid every 24,000 ks.Mind you that was when i was doing 30,000 ks a year.

couldn't hurt to change it mate - mine was changed after the Great Leap of Faith Tour 2010 !

was going to do the 2 yearly (bi-annual) brake fluid flush/change in the next week or so
so will do that and then change the coolant. sounds like the plan
