hey Mate, heard really good things about them.

Two things to consider;
- some of the flashing intergrated ones need a resistor to be wired in.
- Red LED's dont always work well behind a red lense. Get white LED's if ou can. Ithink their ebay shop front has them, or at least a link.

Is that right? I've read elsewhere that the opposite is true because of the narrower range of wavelengths put out by LED's you get more red out of a red LED than a white LED.

indeed

Jaycar link

I'm going to go look at a pair of them after work tonight. I'll look at the specs and if they are anything less than interesting i might hack them with a few higher intensity globes.

jaycar sell clear & red ones.

mike-s,
I realise on eBay, they keep using this code '1157 BAY15d'.
Can u check from Jaycar if it's the same kind of thing?

And the specs on eBay: They are 26mm across the top, 15mm across the base, 41mm in height
Do update us.

Bah, white ones are next to useless on my bike. they are as bright as sin, but 80% of the light *IS* filtered out by the lens.

Also when you hit the brakes without the headlights on, its visible, but not astounding. when the headlamp is on and you've got your bike pushing out 13.5v from the regulator (i had a multimeter, in my case that voltage was at 4500rpm+) there is a noticeable difference in the brightness. but still a following car wouldn't really be able to tell unless they were looking for it hard.

Where it matters (at idle) like when you've pulled the clutch in and reefed the anchors there is next to fuck all light coming out of it. I am taking them back tomorrow and getting my $38 back, thank god i can at least get a refund. I've got $4 pair of globes that are a shitload better (again, for MY bike).

Oh and product code wise, im not really sure, but i dont think those ones you were talking about were them.

http://www.superbrightleds.com/other_bulbs.htm is more like the ones i bought, down to the name of the website being on the packaging.
