GPZ900R Clutch adjustment

Post by Rabbbie99 »

I installed new clutch friction plates in my A2 GPZ900R because the clutch started slipping Now when I drive it I notice that the clutch lever is almost all the way out before it starts to bite. Also there is no slack/free play at all in the lever. Also the clutch is slipping worse than ever now. The manual does not mention any adjustment so I was thinking it was just a matter of changing the plates and everything would be fine. I am thinking that the clutch piston is not completely out now and the plates are partially pushed apart. Is there anything that I must do to adjust the clutch when I put new plates in? Is there any way to slacken off the the lever a bit so that I have a bit of slack play in the lever when the clutch is completely engaged?
