Any helmet with the AS /NZS 1698 Sticker is acceptable up to 10.00.
It needs to be Snell Rated for quicker than 10 seconds.
The list is here to see if your Helmet meets the rules for under 10.00 .
http://www.smf.org/cert
Most expensive helmets will be in the Snell m2010 list at the link above.
Shoei and Arai ect ect.

Thats not what this says.. is this event not classed as "competition"..?
NOTE: From August 2013 only AS/NZS1698:2006 helmets will be acceptable.
AS1698 and BS6658 will not be allowed in competition after this date
regardless of date of manufacture.
My AGV Stealth, isn't listed in that link either.. its 1698 - not 1698:2006.. its a bit old, but within the 10 years..

..
Not that sub 10's would be an issue...

I did not mention AS 1698 as it was introduced in 88 and was superseded by AS/NZS 1968 in 2006.
Your lid could be potentially be 25 years old if it shows AS 1968 Only.
That's why they don't allow them.
If it has the little silver and red AS/NZS 1968 Sticker your good for 10.00
If you run 9.999 you need it to be in the Snell M2010 or M2005 or the SA2010 or SA2005 list and be less than 10 years old. From the Date of Manufacture.

I went to WSID street meet about 6-7 years ago on my stock 01 R1 with a yoshi tri slip on. Quickest run was a 10.2 for the night there were guys there on gsxr1000 power commander pipe etc ran a 9.8 then told if he broke 10 again no more runs without an ANDRA license. Was great fun if you hold a nice wheelie in 2nd or 3rd run will be over 10 and a crowd pleaser

Probably should have said high rather than mid .Apologies.
The cbr had plates on it,no gas,not lowered and apart from a yoshi system looked stock.I actually spoke to the guy before the racing started by coincidence due to him having the same bike as me.The last run he did was a 9.79,the first was a 9 something and the second was a 10.
The fastest (that i saw) on the night was an 8.5 which was a comp bike.
