b4 the stack, i was havin a few issues with clutch slipping at high revs premodinately in 3rd or 4th gear.
will i need a new one?
i was lookin at a clutch kit and springs on the net.
will i need anything else?
is it hard to replace.

i figure i'll fix everything while i've got it apart.

Does the below sound like your problem? Yes, I know it's for a 9R, but at least it gives you an idea how hard the job is likely to be 8)

Sounds like a clutch to me...

nah it'll hold the gear ok.
its just when its under a bit of load at highish speeds it seems to slip.
i'll be accelerating and when it hits about 14 grand, the needle will fly to 19/20 under open throttle.
if i use half throttle or less it seems to be ok.

Its pretty easy to do. Take the plates and springs out and check the thicknesses / lenghts to see if there still in tolerance.
It may be as simple as replacing the springs with some heavier duty items. Most aftermarket springs are about 10% stronger and they should cost about $40 to $50..
I had the same problem in my 9 and it was fixed by scuffing up the plates and putting in Barnett springs.

What Dave said....plus while the clutch out it might be worth checking if the plates have worn hollows out on the clutch basket. If they have then it makes more work for the springs to pull the plates together again. A small amount can be carefully filed off and will make the clutch a lot smoother to operate.
