636 Seat cover and superglue advice

Guys,
I made a boo boo the other month when i was trying to keep my tank protector and double sided tape bonded...
Some superglue escape and landed on my seat (see pix).
I've tried to use superglue remover, but there isn't anything to really remove as the glue has soaked through/been removed. So there is a slight white blotch on the vinyl... when the seat is wet, you can't really see it, but when it dries you can
Have you guys got any advice? I've looked at vinyl cleaners/touch up stuff today at supercheap, but it's not for bike seats... maybe i need to replace the vinyl cover. Seems to be attached by staples...
Does anyone know someone who can replace vinyl to an exact match for kwak seats?
Thanx
Martin

hey mate, i've been wondering something similar.
Scratched the seat on the six, wouldn't mind getting something done about it.
We had a Brissy guy on here who was an upholsterer, i think he's the one to ask

Eucalyptus oil.
Pull the back seat off and try a bit on the underside before you use it on the main seat.

I think bigtez is the guy you want...
I have done upholstery, and did the ER-5 seat, but I don't really have the gear to do it properly ie no sewing capability.

can't be that hard to get the material surely,,,
then unstaple whats on the seat...
staple the new material over the foam...
i probably wouldn't do it to my bike but... i don't have superglue on the seat...
Good luck

what about some acetone or something? surely that would dissolve the glue, and then just some soap and water to get the acetone off......

Nail polish remover works a treat!

Acetone/nail varnish remover will soften the vinyl, even discolour it, stay away from doing that.
I gotta mark on my seat, just a little black texta every now and again problem solved

Correct, but it's not full strenght

So not likley to cause much damage(IF ANY) as its a watered down version
