polished frame?

Hi all
When people polish the frame of the bike what do they use to give it that chrome look?
A die grider and some buffing pads???

if u were to take it to a shop they would use various polishing pads/ creamsstart with a really aggressive then work down to a fine grade
when i did parts of my manifold (for a car) i started with wet and dry till i had a shine then started with the pollishing pads
personally though that took me 2-3 weeks to complete for a littel manifold i would take iot to a shop u would proably find being such flat sides etc it would cost all that much to take to a shop

I've done a couple of zx7 frames before. The frame rails are pretty easy, but the cast bits(the steering head, and lower frame) that is a real shit. If you paint strip first than start rubbing with 200ish grade wet/dry and work up to 1800 grade, then hit it with a buffing pad or wheel, then Mother's Aluminium Polish, BLING BLING. If you stick with the rails only, it's messy work but not hard.

Theres a place in Melbourne that does it all.. and Nickel Plating Oh Boy does that stuff put Chrome to shame.
I am getting a few things done on my bike... here is a pic... see if you can spot what is missing and is in the shop for polishing / plating.

if you can afford it get it plated.
I have some bits on my bike and all it ever needs is a wash then a quick go with some Mr Sheen. no dulling, fading and no re-polishing to keep it looking good.
