Good Morning,

Just wanted to let everyone know about the friendly and quality service I recieved while getting my ZX7R serviced with Inline Motorcycles based in Newport.

As far as I can tell it's a husband & wife outfit and it's only a little shop on Blackshaws road (just off williamstown/melbourne road).

I was quoted much less than any one else I had called for the service, so decided to take it there to see how it goes. (Marty aka Strika recommended Inline).

All I can say is that I've never experienced customer service at such a high level. Between being offered a coffee and having a chat, provided a ashtray if I wanted a smoke and looking at the great examples of the Z900 and Z1000 they had in the shop as well as a few drag bikes, I went on my merry way, Later in the afternoon I was given a pleasant phone call and went back to pick up my bike, the Mechanic explained everything that he had done, explained the condition of the bike, and also showed everything he had removed from the bike. (oil filter, spark plugs, brake pads).

And for a major service (24,000) with rear brake pads, i was charged a stunning $377 Inc gst. May i add that my bike is like new again - even better actually!!!!!!

Would recommend them to anyone.

As a commuter one of the things that limits me when choosing a place to do a service is that they must have a loan bike that I can ride to work whilst the service takes place.... Do they have something like that?

I didnt require one/so Didnt ask, my initial impression would be no. But you could always book in on a weekend and go two up with steph, however, give them a call and ask they might sort something out

Duane, Perhaps you should take that bloody ugly looking Italian ride there and see if they can fix it up a little. However i doubt you would get much change out of $20,000.00 no matter how cheap they are.

20 Grand is just for an inspection of the hidious creation. No hands on work would dare be performed without the appropriate safety equipement

On a serious note, bringing this to the top because they are really worth meantioning as a possible mechanic for melbournites.
