Mate, bummer about the off but at least your both salvageable
Did you think to pass this info to the police and/or vicroads so that some bugger goes and cleans it up ?

Done! Did it first thing when I got home. Apparently someone else had already called in though. maybe one of the tin top drivers got skatey thru there too and dialed it in.

 try "bloody ambulance" instead. This afternoon one of our PTS ambulances somehow broke (correct terminology?) a diesel line and spewed diesel all over the Gateway Motorway at Nudgee, just before peakhour... Good to know how well funded and mechanically sound the Service is! :?

Reminds me an off I had in 1992. We were travelling in a group of 4 bikes, late at night. Easy left hand and I was at the rear. About 80kph. Saw the rear lights of bike 1 then 2, then 3 came down and by the time I relised the danger I was already hearing that nasty sound of helmet grinding the asphalt  . It's that quick.

When we pulled up we started to see cars skidded to the other side of the road  so I found myself running to wave and warn the drivers. Quite a dramatic night but we all walked away with few scratches.

Really nasty. I wonder what would happen if one of those logging trucks spilled them in reefton :?

Had dinner with a mate last night who says that the diesel is still there. Be careful anyone turning left from racecourse road onto the City link. Naturally the diesel trail is strewn across the far right hand side of the lane. So a tight line will avoid it. :)
