Buy a Kawaka Strika, You know you wanna. Anyway i'm off to get scattered, I'll have a can or two in the name of the Hornet, The first and last, the 22 in the middle will be in the name of Kawasaki.

Hmmm..to trick or to trade....
You were happy with the hornet I am guessing....
so what that then means is to trick it would be either to fix the broken bits with trick bits or stock bits....then to change the stock bits with trick bits!!!
the question is more so if you didnt have the off, would you trick it? The off is the motivation, but be careful to not trick it back to stock. So what about trade it for a new hornet? Simply coz the hard bit on repairing is where to draw the line between "I can live with that scratch" or "stuff it, I will make it better than new!!!" (I know not entirely possible, but sounds cliche). If you decide to go with the "I can live with scratch" side of things, then it is a matter of how scratched. Then why trick it with scratched bits??? If you decide on replace everthing that is damaged with new or trick then it may be a false economy.....
After all this typing and brain scantering, I have concluded that your best option is to buy an FJR1300
Cheers

trade it in for something with a nice full fairing.
Bikes are like women, They always look a little sexier with some cloths on.

Or just put your bike in a paper bag, that works with some women too

I had a real hard look at a new Triumph Sprint the other day

I am gettin old arn't I?????
OK once again if I buy a newie, I will have to look for something that corners at least as good if not better than the Hornet, with a really comfy (read not sportbike) ride possie, and i want more grunt and power than the Hornet.
Would be happy with a naked (with a small screen like mine) or a half naked Like the FZS, or a full faired bike. It doesn't matter to me. I am even keen tp have a look at a new Beemer as they seem to handle OK now and the attraction of a nice long shaft has always been lingering inside me
Or the alternative is....... pipe, Power commander, Blade cams, Ohlins rear shock. I would be happy with that too.

Have a look at the ZX12r, they are 'cheap as' atm. I cant see you being bored or uncomfy on that. And they have a killer look to them.
