Is anyone a member of the WSBK TV website?
http://www.worldsbk.tv/

Just wondering what you think of the service and quality?

Obviously it wouldnt be quite as good as the TV but at least you dont miss any races... and for 14 pounds for a year it is quite reasonable....

Can you download the videos?

I had a look at this site before the 1st race.

They did have downloaded WMV files. They had highlights too, but with no commentary and the quality was OK, no where near as good as quicktime trailers on the apple site.

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for someone to release torrents of the races like they do for other sports and really sad tv shows but no one has taken the lead which is a real shame as I don't want to cough up for foxtel just so i can watch WSBK every fortnight.

Would be great to see bayliss kicking butt .. reminds of the days with edwards and bayliss duking it out... sigh.

If only there was someone out there who could record the show onto there pc or dvd recorder and do the decent thing (hint hint)...

Yes I'm a member but you don't get to watch the races live. In fact, they don't tell you when you can watch the races. I dunno what I'm actually getting

Aparently, I dunno if this is true or not but, they can't show the races live here because of a clash with pay TV rights. So I only get to watch the interviews, the highlights and the pit pass stuff. Cost me $36 for the season.

The MotoGP site is better cause you get to watch practise, qualifying and the races live. Plus you get to watch an achive or races back to ( I think) 1988. Much better site.

I s'pose I gotta find out the go with the superbike thing cause I wanted to see the races.

fat460... if you can 'tape' them onto a dvd home recorder or straight to your pc capture card ... then all you'd need to do is encode it to xvid with something like AutoGK, the file size for each race would be 350mb (standard size for 40-45min program) and then create a torrent and upload onto a torrent site.

If you are interested in doing this (please please) you would make a lot of people very happy around the world including myself.

Let me know and I can give you some pointers.

cheers,

Martin

oops... sorry Paul, didnt mean to waffle with all the IT stuff.

Guess the 1st questions is... do you record on a home dvd recorder or a video tape recorder?

cheers,

Martin

I burn to The HDD of my LG 80gig HDD Recorder which Foxtel goes though to get to my TV. Then edit & cut the Kevin MaGOO Waffle & adds out.
I got all the MotoGP & 250 cc races this year but missed Round 4 of the supers as i was in hospital. Also get the AMA & Aus Supers if you surf the foxguide & keep your eyes open in here.

Heather did you get round 4 of the supers & is it on DVD ?.

Pontikat,

does this mean you keep the world superbikes including round 5 on your LG? Do you 'share' them out too???

If so, can you give us a clue which place you share them out too as I use all the search places and can't locate any, except round 4 in spanish on any of the places on the net..

We should all share, even the admin shouldnt keep such secrets from us mere mortals.... hint hint

cheers

Martin
