New Newy rider

Post by DEN MONKEY »

Hey Yawl I'm just droppin a quick line to say G'day. Can't beleive I found this place by chance. I spend a bit of time on BCF, based out of the UK and came here by a link in one of their posts.
As far as riding goes I don't have a lot of experience under my belt since I've only been riding for about 10 months all up Ls included.
Luckily for me being over 30 Im now unrestricted and starting to keep an eye out for a relpacement for the old GPX250.
Its been a great bike but Im starting to get tired of having to wring its neck to get it to amuse me of late. I guess this is the regular thing when you begin to get comfortable.
I might take a little longer to upgrade because I still find myself on the odd occasion being glad the old girl is so forgiving when I mess up.
Still I think I can make the most of it over the coming colder months and be ready to grab something new for next summer . If the girlfriend oks it :D
I think a 2000 zx6 is probably going to be the item Ill be tracking down but I wont tell you of the others that are in contention for my hard earned dollar.

If anyone from the Newcastle area feels like saying hi and taking a ride out then give me a shout. I dont have any mates that ride and sometimes a solo cruise can get a tad boring. Might be better if you dont have a heap of experience but if your willing to keep back to my pace then Im happy to join. I must say straight up though that if you're way out in front and not looking like slowing down I wont be pushing myself to catch you. I will stop and have a smoke when I get there though.

SO hi again guys and great to find the site.

BTW. Not designated greeters, more warm friendly people who like to say hi (and reply to almost every post  ).

Welcome Den Monkey, and like some of the others have said, we'd love you to join us for a coasties run ... if you're interested we could do the trip via Cessnock, Pokolbin, Broke then either Wollombi or the north end of the Putty (mmm, Putty :D ) ... it's a big day out, but an enjoyable one.

The 2000 zx6r is a great bike, but perhaps also think about the 2002 zx6r - it's essentially the same bike but with a 636 donk, and the graphics on the green one are far and away the nicest to ever grace a 6r ... one like this one
