i did almost exactly what i did 3 weeks ago... too hot into a (blind) turn... tho ive taken the same turn 20+ times before without incident
maybe im jinxed or something...
wont be hard to get the bike back on the road, tho there is a nasty dent in the frame now....
but i hurt myself this time, strained a ligament in my shoulder... not sure how bad it is yet but im in a sling

Sorry to hear of the off SS, hope the bike is back soon and hope the shoulder is right again soon. FWIW Bob Martin race engineering in FTG are the blokes to do the frame work needed, basically their specialty.

the dent i dunno about... if it hasnt cracked anything then i might just fill it in and paint it (they are a painted frame from the factory)
theres a little crack in the frame that i need to get welded up, but that was from a previous stack (i bought it pre-stacked, then stacked it twice) and simon knows a guy that can do that.... but hes not happy
not happy at all.
my shoulder is still pretty useless a day later, hoping it gets better in time for work, cause im gonna need some serious cash flow to fix things.. following the lines the bike and I took after we left the road, if i was a meter to the right i woulda gone straight through a very sturdy arrow sign... wouldnt have walked away from that, nor would i be typing the next day had that happened

Your call there!SocialSecurity wrote:the dent i dunno about... if it hasnt cracked anything then i might just fill it in and paint it (they are a painted frame from the factory)
Simon seems to take ownership of bikes he works on, especially the paint jobs, hates it when someone screws up his paintwork. Gees you only just got the bloody thing back from Simon, small wonder he's not happy...SocialSecurity wrote:theres a little crack in the frame that i need to get welded up, but that was from a previous stack (i bought it pre-stacked, then stacked it twice) and simon knows a guy that can do that.... but hes not happynot happy at all.

For a few weeks at least, Simon still riding in thongs I daresay? Incidentally have tried calling a couple of times, he needs the fax machine back with the answering machine as he's either not there or not answerring
