hi I have a friend were her only means of transport is a bike, she never even got her car licence. dont know if i could do it, not quite ready to brave a stormy winter 4am start on a bike for 20 mins.

well LisaM its all what your acustom to, as long as you have the right gear you will stay warm and dry, but vision can be rather low, not only for you but for the timtops too,,,,, so be seen be safe( everyone sees you when you have your boobs hanging out, but sheeshhhhh bit cold for the winter)......... well out of choice I would keep the car for those types of days..... brrrrrrrr 4 oclock starts... catch ya lesley

Got a virus on my computer last week, luckily I have internet access at school.
It took a bit of getting used having a bike as an only means of transport but around melbourne it's not bad while it isn't raining. I still plan on buying a car but probably not till next year.
Also a warning to anyone that goes on the great ocean road. Went for a ride along it on Sunday and both me and my mate ended up getting booked for crossing double lines

. They had a cop hiding in the hills with a video camera aimed at a spot that has enough room to overtake with double lines. Being stuck behind a 4wd doing 40km/h in an 80 zone, and refusing to use the slow lane bit gets to you after a while.
