ZXR750 Updated

Post by James »

Thought Id post some updated pics of the ZXR. Ive done a bit of tinkering on it since Ive owned it, trying to get it looking & going A1. It was in great nick when I bought it but it just needed a little TLC to make things right.
I took off all the fairings and adjusted all the brackets before putting it all back on so its sits right. The headlights used to sit about 2 inches behind the fairing opening and now sit pretty close to flush. I relocated the numberplate light up into the rear ducktail and moved the plate up underneath the tail light. I added new grips as well as clear indicator lenses. Mark was nice enough to go up to Newcastle and grab the decals that were on order for the bike, so I put them on last night.

Just got it re-registered too, so Im ready to take it down to the snowies next week after doing an ASBS Level on Monday. :D

This bike is absoulutely beautiful James, and kept in pristine condition like every other bike you have owned.

Heh James, that is one very tidy and well-presented rig mate, well done. Is it an H1 or H2 ?? (gotta love those model designations  )

Wow, thats very nice! A guy a work has one in the same colour scheme but it's got nothing on the quality or yours!

I've gotta ask where you got the grips as well? And the cost?

Geez, thanks for the comments guys! :D

Im pretty happy with the aesthetics of it now, not much else to do in that regard. I think the next things to do are the suspension front and rear and I may get a Megacycle full system with a C/F oval can. I got a quote from them this week for around a grand which I reckon is pretty good. Ive had megacycles on my ZX636 and an old Gixxer and I like the fit and finish. They sound alright too!

But tomorrow Im off to the creek to learn how to ride it!

Gosling - its an '89 H1 :)

Cheers

7THSIN - sorry just saw your post after submitting mine. Thanks mate! The grips are Harris grips. I just bought them from a local bike accessories store. They were $29.95. They fit really well, have a good feel and look to be good quality too. Your local shop should be able to order them in for you.
